It is the year 1601 and Elizabeth I is an ageing, heirless monarch, with many people coveting her throne.
After a failed uprising by her love, The Earl Of Essex, the Queen has little option but to have him executed, which breaks her aching heart in two.
In a moment of great sadness, she summons Shakespeare to her court.
“If music be the food of love, Play on”, she says to him; giving him just one ‘days night’ to write the World’s first Musical.
Faced with chronic writers block, an ever nearing deadline and a company of talentless musicians, the Bard is thrown a lifeline, when The Beatles are mysteriously transported to his times.
Now, with access to the greatest rock n roll band in The World and the awesome Lucy Morgan (the dark lady of the sonnets), Shakespeare has a chance. A chance to mend the Queen’s hurt heart, re-kindle an old love affair and form a super group to shake the Globe!
